Faint Dead Away: Anywhere around Edge.

Yuffie moved swiftly across the high peeks of the rooftops. Her feet whispered against the concrete and mortar while dark almond eyes scanned the streets below. Rooftops are the best mode of transportation: no traffic, no one to bother you, and it's feels as if a single person might achieve flight without the pesky side affect of motion sickness. She has gotten better but Yuffie continued dislikes most modes of transportation.

She peered down at the street below, imagining people as ants or some other small animal. The buildings aren't always tall enough to make people look like ants but it's fun to imagine them scurrying around below her.

"Whoa," Yuffie leaned forward when her eyes caught a glint of a curious sight. It happened in that instant, the world swam and the bright sun blurred the streets and buildings into one mass of swirling blinding color. Yuffie's thin fingers slipped away from the buildings edge and she felt herself falling towards the sidewalk beneath her.

[ooc: you can run into Yuffie during the falling or after she's already an injured heap on the ground. Don't worry, she isn't dead.]

All fun and games: Seventh Heaven

Yuffie drummed her fingers restlessly against the polished wood of the bar. Her head hurt like hell and she couldn't think straight enough to understand what had happened. She decided to take a break from her rooftop antics and focus on pestering those she knew lived in the city. She didn't actually know where everyone was staying so she had some recon to do and the best place to do that was at Tifa's Bar.

There was a drink in front of her and the alcohol was great at numbing the headache that rested just behind her temples.

When the door opened she'd turn to look, her dark eyes shining curiously. If it wasn't someone she knew she promptly went back to drinking and hoping that the alcohol would continue to take the edge off of her throbbing headache.

She could have probably spent the night here with Tifa but she'd hoped to see more people and crash on more couches. It really was the easiest way to say hi to people and see what they were up to. Plus she might get some dirt on her friends in the process. It couldn't possibly go wrong.

After spending the majority of the last few weeks in the WRO medical ward recovering from mako poisoning, Squall had decided to take up the offer for a free vacation. It felt strange taking a vacation from... nothing? He hadn’t done anything in this strange new city since he woke up on that foreign riverside aside from throwing up whatever was left in his stomach again and again. It had been a painful first few weeks, mostly left sleeping in a nearly comatose state in the hospital.

Then the heat started. That sweltering, intolerable heat.

When the announcement came along that they were offering free vacations, Squall decided to take it up. He deserved it; he wanted some relaxation after being stranded in the hospital for so long. His migraines weren’t going away and his confusion about this place was still making him dizzy. So a little bit of rest away from bright hospital lights, disgusting plastic food trays and warm apple juice was welcome.

Squall found himself a nice shaded spot under a rented umbrella on the beach with a book and clad in nothing but black swim shorts. The sky was clear, the ocean was gently misting his body and he was content.

After a little bit of earned vacation time away from the hospital he would try to settle in Edge and find himself some work to keep him busy. But for now? Sweet, sweet alone time.

That is, unless anyone dares to disturb him.

This whole thing had probably started somewhere near the fifth round of drinks at Seventh Heaven after meeting... well, himself. There was a discussion about investigating the lifestream in Mideel and trying to see what was in there, and somehow they came to the decision that they should go fishing for two-headed fish, or whatever madness might be swimming in a river of pure mako. It was all a joke, until someone had told the older Zack that he couldn't go to the lifestream, and then the game was just on.

The WRO was patrolling, but they couldn't prepare for everything, and early in the morning the small crew had found their way to the edge of the pool of lifestream with, no joke, fishing equipment they'd procured along the way. With a cooler of beers, some snacks for the day, and a small container of bait, they settled in on a shady patch of grass on the shore and cast their lines. Did they really think they'd catch anything? Well, no, probably not. But they'd have a fun bonding day all the same.

"Just keep in mind that this gook is what runs through all of our veins," Zack commented, sticking a toe into the lifestream experimentally before pulling it back out fairly quickly. "Well, except you, Cloud."
