Night Out on the Town?

True enough, Zack hadn't been joking about going out. For him it's been a pretty long time so why not go all out? The people that had seemed interested all got a message explaining where they we going to be. Someone that Zack thought could use a little social get together got a message regardless if they answered his call out. He isn't sure who all is going to show, but who cares?

All that matters is that he is here at some bar that Cloud has picked out. Friends will be here too, hopefully. They can cut loose a little and have a good time out tonight. If they manage to have a little too much fun... Well then it makes for some good memories and new stories to be retold. Who knows, maybe someone it won't even be remembered in the morning.

Was Zack teasing? Could anyone be sure in this sort of setting?

"I really think you should, lil chickabo."

He better be. Flushing at the new nickname, he frowned pouted up at Zack.

"I'm not singing," shaking his head, he pushed at the glass of whatever non-alcoholic he'd gotten - he couldn't remember the name anymore, but it was pretty tasty, actually, "and what's the chocobo thing good enough for you?"

He didn't even like that but being 'demoted' further when he was as old as he'd always been (to him, at least)... well, that was just rude.

Zack gave a little bit of a shrug.

"The other you is affectionately called Chocobo... And you're younger so..."

So it just made sense! It wasn't a demotion. It wasn't being rude. Okay so it was being a little bit rude. Teasing in general implies a degree of rudeness that was acceptable.

"... that makes more sense than I'd like," he said quietly, frowning and trying to figure out a good angle to protest it, but... There wasn't any easy way, because he was younger than the other one. And it wasn't like he'd be able to make Zack not use the 'chocobo' nickname at all.

It hadn't worked before, it wouldn't work now.
